The SSP was applied at an underground gold mine to determine effective mine face pre conditioning at two separate sites. The SSP was deployed in minutes and the results were available in real time. The scans are made using the same hardware and processing settings so that the results are comparable.
The ergonomic light weight design made this measurement particularly easy. The bright colours indicates stronger reflections within the surface under test. Reflections are caused by discontinuities in the material and changes within their material properties.
Site 1 demonstrated effective preconditioning as the results produced stonger reflections within the 1 to 3 meter range while Site 2 demonstrated inadequate preconditioning with weaker results.
