Full Scan Envelope and Flexible Scan Selection Options

MSR Halo mobile deployment

Exceptional Coverage. Long range. High Resolution.

MSR HaloTM is Reutech Mining’s next-generation Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system for slope stability monitoring. Delivering a complete 360° omnidirectional scan envelope at high speed and over extended ranges of up to 5,000 m, Halo sets a new standard in radar monitoring.

Designed for both tactical and strategic campaigns, the system provides exceptional spatial resolution to detect micro-deformational ground movements across slopes, tailings storage facilities, and natural hazards. Paired with the cloud-based MSR HaloTM software, it ensures complete accessibility, intuitive control, and advanced alarming capabilities. Critical insights are available anywhere, anytime – supporting faster, safer decisions for every operation.

The Design and Build

MSR HaloTM encapsulates a full 360° scan envelope over extended ranges, ensuring comprehensive coverage of complex geotechnical environments. Flexible scan and alarm configuration options allow operators to tailor monitoring to site-specific requirements, enhancing both safety and productivity.

Deployment Options

The system can be supplied in different configurations to meet operational needs

Mobile Deployment

Mounted on the Reutech Eco PSU provides a mobile system,  ready for rapid deployment with a fully integrated autonomous power supply.

MSR Halo portable deployment

Portable deployment

Tripod-mounted or pillar- mounted with a portable external power supply.

Fully Geo-referenced

Monitoring data is fully geo-referenced to the mine’s coordinate system, ensuring precise spatial correlation. This allows operators to view areas of interest accurately or export data into third-party software for further analysis and integration.

Long-Range, High-Resolution Monitoring

The MSR HaloTM combines an extended range of up to 5,000 m with excellent spatial resolution, enabling detection of subtle ground movements across large scan areas. This level of detail supports proactive slope management and tactical decision-making.

Cloud-Based Software

The MSR Halo Software is a cloud-based web platform that ensures simple, reliable access to radar data from any location.

Reutech Eco PSU

MSR Halo mobile deployment

The Eco PSU combines solar energy, lithium battery storage and automatic generator backup to provide dependable power to the radar and ancillary products/equipment.

By prioritising solar energy before generator backup is required, the Eco PSU reduces reliance on diesel and provides a greener, more sustainable power solution for the MSR HaloTM.

During suitable conditions, the solar panels power the system and charge the battery bank. When solar energy is not sufficient, the battery bank continues providing power to the radar. The generator starts automatically when the battery reaches the minimum State of Charge and automatically switches off once the batteries are fully charged.

By prioritising solar energy before generator backup is required, the Eco PSU reduces reliance on diesel and provides a greener, more sustainable power solution.
