Reutech Mining’s Geotechnical Monitoring Centre (GMC) provides active, 24/7 remote geotechnical monitoring support for open-pit mining operations.
Dedicated monitoring personnel continuously monitor agreed slopes and monitoring areas using data from Reutech Mining’s MSR radar systems. Rather than waiting for an alarm before reviewing the data, the GMC actively monitors developing movement, reviews warnings and alarms, and communicates changes in accordance with the mine’s agreed monitoring process.
This enables pre-emptive communication where developing conditions require attention, as well as escalation in line with the agreed TARP and monitoring process where applicable.
The GMC can extend a mine’s monitoring capacity where continuous coverage is required, including during periods of high monitoring workload, after hours, or where multiple radar systems or monitoring areas require ongoing attention.
Monitoring support can be configured around the requirements of the operation, from site-run monitoring through to active 24/7 GMC support. The GMC executes the agreed monitoring process while the mine retains its geotechnical, operational and legal responsibilities.
The GMC provides remote monitoring support across Reutech Mining’s three MSR radar platforms.
Synthetic Aperture Radar for strategic monitoring with broad coverage, long range and high spatial detail.
Dedicated monitoring personnel actively monitor agreed slopes and monitoring areas around the clock, providing continuous monitoring coverage beyond normal operating hours.
Qualified monitoring personnel continuously monitor MSR radar data, review developing movement, warnings and alarms, and communicate with the mine according to the agreed monitoring process. Geotechnical engineers provide additional technical review and oversight where required.
The GMC operates within a secure monitoring environment with physical, cyber and data protection measures in place to safeguard monitoring systems, data and communications.
GMC support can be configured around the operation, its monitoring requirements and available site resources, from additional monitoring capacity to continuous 24/7 support.
Monitoring is not limited to responding to alarms. Developing movement, warnings and alarms are actively reviewed, enabling pre-emptive communication and escalation according to the agreed monitoring process and TARP where applicable.
The GMC can provide additional monitoring capacity during periods of high monitoring workload, after hours, or where multiple radar systems or monitoring areas require ongoing attention, allowing site teams to maintain focus across their broader geotechnical responsibilities.
