The Movement and Surveying Radar (MSR) is designed to operate in harsh mining environments.  The system provides highly accurate, real-time, all weather surveying and slope movement measurements using state-of-the-art radar and surveying technology.  The MSR system is the only system available with the capability of operating up to 2500m.

All data captured by the MSR system is fully geo-referenced and in addition to this the system also has the unique ability to integrate various layers of digital terrain model information with the displacement data. This capability allows for the deployment of the system without being able to visually see the slope making it the only true all weather day and night system available on the market. Various different digital model layers can be imported into the system to allow for the correlation of radar based displacement data to specific material types, joints and faults located on the mine slope.

The simultaneous execution of stability and surveying measurements, combined with the high-speed external data links for remote operation, and extremely high reliability, makes the MSR an essential real-time mining safety, planning and productivity improvement tool.

The MSR also provides the unique capability of detecting moving equipment and effectively eliminating their effect on slope movement without the need to exclude specific areas.
